Yale documentation states the use of extension tubes adds to the versatility of the standard cylinders. Tubes mount onto the bottom of YS cylinders via the appropriate base adaptor (AYS-53, AYS-103 or AYS-153) with two hexagon socket screws.

Suitable Applications

Per Yale: extending the reach of YS cylinders for applications requiring lifting heights greater than the cylinder's natural stroke. The catalogue example: YS-10/150 with AYS-106 extension tube and AYS-103 base adaptor for straightening of a container box.

Cylinders need a matched pump and hose and coupler set — pressure rating and coupler type must agree across the whole circuit before anything is ordered.
