More About This Product

The Armorgard Forma-Shelta FR200-S is a purpose-built welfare shelter providing a safe, designated area for smoking and vaping on construction sites. The flat-pack modular design can be assembled in under 10 minutes, with forklift pockets and crane lifting eyes for easy site relocation. Built from 1mm and 2mm powder-coated steel with a durable aluminium anti-slip tread plate floor, the Forma-Shelta features a fold-down bench, integrated gutters, and high and low ventilation as standard. A cigarette bin is available as an optional extra. Fully compliant with the Smoking Shelters Health Act 2006.

Suitable Applications

The Forma-Shelta FR200-S is designed for construction sites, industrial facilities, and commercial premises where a designated smoking or vaping area is required. The shelter provides protection from weather while encouraging workers to use designated areas only, helping sites comply with smoking legislation. The flat-pack design means the shelter can be delivered to restricted access locations and assembled at the point of use, while crane lifting eyes and forklift pockets allow easy relocation as site requirements change.
Flat-pack units ship assembled-on-site, which cuts delivery cost and gets through doorways a welded unit cannot. See also site boxes.

How to Assemble the Forma-Shelta FR200-S

  1. Place the base on a level, stable surface. The forklift pockets can be positioned at any side but are recommended at the front.
  2. Attach uprights to each corner of the base using 2x M12x25mm bolts with washers. Tighten the two front uprights but leave rear uprights hand tight.
  3. Fit the mounting brackets for the folding bench to the inside of each rear upright using M8 fixings.
  4. Slot the lugs of the folding bench into the brackets, then tighten the rear uprights to the base.
  5. Lift the roof onto the uprights and locate using the channels running under the roof in each corner.
  6. Fit the middle supports for the side panels - one on the back and one on each side. Slide the top under the roof first, then fix to the base.
  7. Insert M12 crane lifting eyes from the top in each corner of the roof, through the slot in the upright below. Secure with washers and nylock nuts.
  8. Lift each wall panel into place between upright and middle support, then secure using M8 fixings. Ensure ribs face inwards.
  9. If purchased, slot the cigarette bin into any upright (no fixings required).
  10. Re-check every fixing on the Forma-Shelta and ensure no fastener is loose.

Important:
At least two people are required to safely erect or dismantle the Forma-Shelta. Wear appropriate PPE during assembly. Some parts are heavy and there is a risk of trapping fingers - take care when handling panels.
