Cone-shaped crane-lifted concrete pour skip ('banana skip') with geared flow gate | 500L, 750L and 1000L
The Conquip Concrete Coneflow Skip — often called a 'banana skip' on site — is a cone-shaped crane skip for accurate directional pouring of concrete. It lays horizontally for filling and lifts vertically for pouring, with the funnelled outlet directing discharge precisely where it's needed and a geared flow gate controlling the rate; a roll frame keeps the horizontal-to-vertical transition stable, and operators stand alongside the skip rather than underneath during the pour. Available in three capacities, from compact 500L for footings to 1000L for larger slab work.

The cone shape and funnelled outlet allow precise placement of concrete on embankments, shuttered areas, footings and large slab pours. The geared flow gate controls pour rate. The roll frame eliminates lift swing for safer ground-side operation.
The Conquip Concrete Coneflow Skip -- often called a 'banana skip' on site -- is a cone-shaped crane skip designed for accurate directional pouring of concrete. The skip lays horizontally for filling, then is lifted vertically by crane for pouring; the funnelled outlet directs the discharge precisely where it's needed, and a geared flow gate controls the speed and rate of pour. A roll frame keeps the skip stable when transitioning from horizontal fill to vertical pour, eliminating swing and improving safety for operators on the ground. Operators stand alongside the skip rather than underneath it during the pour. Available in three capacities to suit different pour volumes -- from compact 500L for footings to 1000L for larger slab work.
The Concrete Coneflow Skip is built for accurate placed pours -- floor slabs, footings, shuttered areas, footpaths, embankments, walls and any pour where the placement needs to be controlled rather than simply tipped. The 500L size suits compact footings and small pours; the 750L is the workhorse mid-range; and the 1000L is the choice for large slabs where reducing lift cycles improves productivity.
Warning:
Confirm crane WLL is rated for skip plus concrete weight before lifting. Do not stand under a suspended skip. Inspect the bale, frame and gate mechanism before each shift. LOLER thorough examination certification must be current.
The Coneflow Skip is built for placed pours where you need to direct concrete precisely -- floor slabs, footings, shuttered areas, footpaths, embankments and large slab pours. The funnelled cone gives accurate placement and the geared gate controls the rate.
No -- pour directly from the geared flow gate. The funnelled cone shape directs the discharge.
The skip rests horizontally on its roll frame for filling. Once full, the crane lifts via the bale and the roll frame guides the skip smoothly into the vertical pour position. The geared flow gate is then used to control discharge.
