  • Twin hook and shackle — two swivel hooks supplied as standard to cradle long or awkward loads

Suitable Applications

The IEJ is suited to construction sites, steel fabrication yards, engineering workshops and industrial facilities where long or awkward loads need to be lifted and repositioned. Common uses include handling steel beams, precast lintels, pipe bundles, timber lengths and mechanical plant components.

How to Use the Fork Mounted Extending Jib

  1. Position forks to the correct distance apart and remove heel pins.
  2. Drive the forks into the fork pockets.
  3. Insert heel pins behind the heel of the fork and attach safety lynch pin.
  4. Position each swivel hook and shackle to the desired lifting point.
  5. To extend or retract the boom, remove the 'T' bar locating pin, push/pull the handle to the desired position, and replace the pin.

Warning: Only make vertical lifts — do not make angular lifts with this attachment. The mast must remain vertical at all times. Do not exceed the safe working load at each lifting point.

Safety Information

  • Ensure heel pins are correctly inserted before every use.
  • Ensure shackle pins are adequately tightened before each use.
  • Do not make angular lifts — only vertical lifts.
  • Do not shock load the attachment under any circumstances.
  • The forklift mast must be vertical at all times.

Inspection and Maintenance

Inspect weekly — focus on weld points, fork pockets, heel pins, swivel hooks, shackles and extending boom alignment. Certified for six months from manufacture.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between the IEJ and the IFJ?

The IEJ has an extending boom providing up to 9 lifting positions from 1000–3000mm. The IFJ is a fixed jib with 4 lifting positions from 1000–1750mm but offers higher capacity in a lighter package.

Q: Can I use the IEJ on a telehandler?

Yes, provided the machine's residual capacity is sufficient for the load at the relevant load centre.
