More About This Product

The Invicta Low Profile Extending Jib (Model ILEP) allows the movement of long and awkward loads from inaccessible locations with up to 10 different lifting positions from 500mm to 3000mm load centres. The low-profile design maximises available headroom, making it ideal for environments with height restrictions. Two hooks and shackles are supplied as standard for balanced lifting of long loads. The four-way pocket entry enables easy storage. Available in five capacities from 1000kg to 4000kg. Manufactured in Leeds by Invicta Forks & Attachments.

Suitable Applications

The ILEP is ideal for warehouses with low ceilings, mezzanine floors, container loading bays and any environment where overhead clearance is limited. The low-profile design avoids the height penalty of standard jibs whilst still providing extending capability.
A jib suspends the load, which makes the work a lifting operation with the examination and planning that follows. Where the load can be carried on the tines instead, fork extensions or brick forks avoid that entirely.

How to Use the Low Profile Extending Jib

  1. Position forks and remove heel pins.
  2. Drive forks into pockets and insert heel pins.
  3. Position hooks to desired lifting centres.
  4. To extend the boom, remove the 'T' bar pin, push/pull the handle to the desired position, and replace the pin.

Warning:
Only make vertical lifts. Do not shock load. Do not exceed the safe working load at each lifting point.

Safety Information

  • Ensure heel pins are correctly fitted.
  • Ensure shackle pins are adequately tightened.
  • Only make vertical lifts.
  • Do not shock load.

Inspection and Maintenance

Inspect weekly — focus on weld points, extending boom alignment, hooks and shackles. Certified for six months.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What makes the ILEP different from the IEJ?

The ILEP has a low-profile design that sits flatter on the forks, maximising headroom. It also has four-way pocket entry for easy storage. The IEJ sits higher but can be more suitable where headroom is not a concern.
