Lifting-gear specialists in Sheffield & London — phone & email

This is the top of the Lifter weighing range: a GS EVO hand pallet truck with an integrated weighing system and an on-board printer. The printer is the point of difference. Weighing a pallet is useful; producing a printed ticket at the point of weighing removes the transcription step and gives you a document that can go with the pallet, into the despatch file, or to the customer. For goods-in checking, waste transfer, freight pre-check and any process where the weight has to be evidenced rather than just known, that matters.

Manufacturer Assurance

Lifter by Pramac is backed by over 40 years of material handling equipment manufacture. All Lifter by Pramac products are designed to meet 100% compliance with current standard regulations, and are subject to internal quality testing for reliability and durability.

Technical Specifications

Product Code Capacity Fork Length Fork Width Steer Wheel Load Wheel Lead Time
TJB53SVY100 2500kg 1185mm 555mm Nylon/Poly Poly 3-5 days

Fork dimensions are 1185 x 555mm, slightly longer and wider than the standard 1150 x 525mm GS EVO to house the weighing frame.

Key Features

  • Integrated printer — produces a ticket at the point of weighing, removing hand transcription and the errors that come with it.
  • Weigh where the pallet is — no separate trip to a floor scale, which on a busy goods-in bay saves a movement per pallet.
  • Full 2500kg capacity — the weighing system does not reduce the load rating.
  • GS EVO platform — the same frame, tiller and hydraulics as the rest of the range.
  • Documented weights — a printed record supports waste transfer notes, freight pre-checks and goods-in disputes.

Suitable Applications

Specify this where weight has to be recorded rather than merely observed: goods-in verification against supplier paperwork, despatch weight for freight and courier bookings, waste transfer and recycling, and production batch recording. It suits sites that would otherwise walk pallets to a floor scale and write the figure down. Where you only need to know the weight and not evidence it, the PY20 or PX25 weigh scale trucks cost considerably less.

How to Use

  1. Check the load is within the rated capacity and the pallet is sound.
  2. Set the tiller control to lower and bring the forks fully down.
  3. Enter the pallet squarely and drive the forks fully home.
  4. Select lift and raise the load clear of the floor.
  5. Move with the control in neutral, pulling rather than pushing where the route allows.
  6. Lower, release the load and withdraw the forks squarely.

Warning: Never exceed 2500kg. Weighing accuracy depends on the truck being on level ground with the load stable and the forks clear of obstruction.

Safety Information

  • Only trained operators should use a pallet truck.
  • Keep feet clear of the load wheels and the underside of the forks.
  • Never ride on the truck or carry passengers.
  • Do not lift loads that are unstable, overhanging or unevenly distributed.
  • Withdraw from service if the forks creep down under load or the hydraulic unit leaks.
  • Store with the forks fully lowered.

Inspection and Maintenance

Alongside the normal pallet truck checks, keep the scale calibrated at the interval your quality system requires and protect the display, load cells and printer from impact and washdown. Keep printer consumables in stock: a weighing truck with no paper is just a pallet truck. Under PUWER, keep the inspection record; if the scale is used for trade, verification is a separate legal requirement.

What's Included

  • Hand pallet truck with integrated weighing system and printer
  • Display unit, load cells and printer fitted
  • Operator manual and calibration documentation
  • Printer consumables are NOT included — order paper separately

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How accurate are the scales?

Accuracy class and calibration status vary by model and by whether the unit is bought trade-approved. Confirm the class you need before ordering: weighing for internal control is a different requirement from weighing for sale by weight.

Q: Do I need a trade-approved scale?

If the weight determines what a customer pays, yes, and it must be verified. For internal stock control, goods-in checking or freight pre-check, a non-approved scale is normally sufficient.

Q: Can the scale be recalibrated on site?

Calibration is carried out by a competent scale engineer. Build it into your planned maintenance rather than treating it as a repair.

Q: What is the difference between this and the PY20 or PX25?

This is the only model in the range with an integrated printer, and it is built on the 2500kg GS EVO frame. The PY20 is a 2000kg truck and the PX25 a 2500kg truck, both weighing without printing.
