UK support

Lifting-gear specialists in Sheffield & London — phone & email

The Cube range is built around a compact, stackable frame rather than a trailer, which is what makes it practical to move several at once and store them without a yard full of drawbars. Three versions cover the main power options: the CUBE PRO is a hybrid running on diesel and battery, the CUBE+ is straight diesel with the brighter 4x320W head array, and the CUBE+ NEXT is battery only — silent, emission free and the right choice for indoor work, tunnels and noise-restricted sites. All carry a darkness sensor and digital timer so they run only when needed.

Product Compliance

Stage V certified where diesel powered. Lighting towers supplied with road trailers are built for UK towing with the appropriate hitch and welded hook options; confirm the towing arrangement matches your vehicle before ordering.

AGM = AGM battery pack, DSK = darkness sensor, DGT = digital timer, PBD = plastic document box, GXD = GX digital display. The CUBE PRO and CUBE+ NEXT are Stage V where diesel powered.

Key Features

  • Stackable frame rather than a trailer — several units move on one vehicle and store in a fraction of the yard space a trailer tower needs.
  • Three power options on one platform — hybrid, diesel or battery-only, so the same familiar unit covers a noise-restricted city job and an open site.
  • Battery-only CUBE+ NEXT — silent and emission free, which is what makes indoor, tunnel and overnight residential work possible at all.
  • Darkness sensor and digital timer — the unit runs when it is dark and stops when it is not, which on a long hire cuts fuel and running hours substantially.
  • G5 LED heads — 4x320W on the CUBE+ for maximum output, 4x240W on the hybrid and battery models where runtime matters more.
  • Digital display on the NEXT — the GX display shows battery state so the site knows how much run time is left.

Suitable Applications

The Cube range suits work where towers are moved frequently or stored in quantity: construction compounds, events, film and broadcast, rail possessions, and utilities. The battery CUBE+ NEXT is the model for indoor and enclosed work, tunnels, and residential streets under night-time noise conditions. The diesel CUBE+ is the value choice for open sites where noise is not a constraint. Where the tower must be towed behind a vehicle rather than lifted, the GLT4-A range is the trailer-mounted equivalent.

How to Use

  1. Position on firm level ground, clear of overhead obstructions and power lines.
  2. Deploy the stabilisers and confirm the unit is level.
  3. Check fuel, oil or battery charge depending on the model.
  4. Raise the mast, observing wind conditions and overhead clearance.
  5. Set the direction of the lamp heads before final elevation where possible.
  6. Lower the mast fully and retract the stabilisers before moving.

Warning: Never raise a mast under or near overhead power lines, and never raise in high wind. Both are the most common causes of serious lighting tower incidents.

Safety Information

  • Never raise the mast under or near overhead power lines.
  • Deploy all stabilisers and confirm the unit is level before raising the mast.
  • Do not raise the mast in high wind; observe the manufacturer's wind speed limit.
  • Lower the mast fully before moving or towing the unit.
  • Keep the area beneath the mast clear while raising and lowering.
  • Do not look directly into the LED heads at close range.

Inspection and Maintenance

Check the mast, winch or actuator, stabilisers and lamp heads before each deployment, and confirm the mast locks correctly at height. On diesel and hybrid units follow the engine service schedule by running hours; on battery and solar units check the state of charge and the panel or charging system. Lighting towers are work equipment under PUWER, and the mast is a lifting mechanism — keep inspection records and withdraw from service on any doubt about the mast or its locking arrangement.

What's Included

  • Cube lighting tower in the model ordered
  • 4 x G5 LED lamp heads
  • Darkness sensor and digital timer
  • AGM battery pack on PRO and NEXT models
  • Plastic document box
  • Operator manual

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Which Cube for indoor or tunnel work?

The CUBE+ NEXT, which is battery only — no exhaust and no engine noise. Neither of the diesel or hybrid models should run in an enclosed space.

Q: What does the hybrid CUBE PRO actually do?

It runs on battery and starts the diesel only to recharge, so running hours and fuel burn drop sharply against a diesel-only tower on the same job.

Q: Are they towable?

No, the Cube range is a stackable frame designed to be lifted and transported on a vehicle. For towing, the GLT4-A range is trailer mounted.

Q: What do the darkness sensor and timer save?

They stop the tower running in daylight. On a long hire that is a significant proportion of fuel and engine hours, and it removes reliance on someone remembering to switch it off.
