Model TKR | Wireless Remote Control | Digital Display | 5t to 12t Capacity | Grade 8 Attachment Ready | CMCO Group Manufacture
The Yale TKR Crane Weigher is the remote-controlled, mid-capacity sister to the TKL, designed for in-line weighing on cranes, lifting beams and overhead hoists from 5 tonne up to 12 tonne. A wireless remote control lets the operator read and tare loads from ground level, while the compact body retains the direct on-unit display for redundancy. Manufactured by Columbus McKinnon under the Yale brand and supplied with test certificate, remote control, batteries and operating manual.
| Model | Part Number | Capacity | Resolution | Net Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TKR 5t | N53908454 | 5000 kg | 1 kg | 7.5 kg |
| TKR 8t | N53908456 | 8000 kg | 2 kg | 10.5 kg |
| TKR 12t | N53908458 | 12000 kg | 5 kg | 20 kg |
Note: the Columbus McKinnon internal model designations "TKR 2,0" and "TKR 3,2" refer to the 8 tonne and 12 tonne models respectively โ the numerical suffix is an internal product code, not the capacity rating. Always confirm capacity by the kilogram figure rather than the model suffix.
This product is manufactured by Columbus McKinnon under the Yale lifting brand to EN ISO 9001 quality management standards. Supplied with a manufacturer's test certificate and CE Declaration of Conformity. UKAS-traceable calibration certification is available on request at the time of order. LOLER 1998 thorough examinations are required every 12 months by a competent person, and annual recalibration is recommended to maintain stated weighing accuracy.
The Yale TKR Crane Weigher is the remote-controlled, mid-capacity sister to the TKL. Designed for in-line weighing on cranes, lifting beams, and overhead hoists at capacities from 5 tonne up to 12 tonne, the TKR ships with a wireless remote control so the operator can read and tare loads from ground level or from a remote operating position. The same compact body and direct on-unit display as the TKL is retained for redundancy, with the remote providing operational convenience. Three capacity options cover 5 tonne, 8 tonne, and 12 tonne lifting applications. Manufactured by Columbus McKinnon under the Yale lifting brand, the TKR is supplied complete with a manufacturer's test certificate, wireless remote control unit, batteries, and operating manual. Use with grade 8 forged shackles or hooks as the lifting attachment.
The TKR is suited to mid-capacity construction lifts, formwork and steel section weighing, precast concrete element weighing, plant verification, and any in-line crane weighing application from 5 tonne to 12 tonne where remote operation is required. Particularly well-suited to lifts where the operator is positioned away from the load, or where viewing the on-unit display from ground level is impractical.
Warning:
Do not exceed the rated capacity of the weigher or its attachments. Do not shock-load the unit. Do not use the weigher if the display shows an error code or if the housing shows signs of damage. The crane operator must remain in full control of the lift at all times โ the weigher does not replace standard rigging and lifting procedures.
Inspect the weigher, attachments, and remote control visually before each use, paying particular attention to the housing, shackles, shackle pins, display, and remote casing for damage or moisture ingress. Keep the unit clean and dry between uses, and store the remote control in a safe location. The TKR is supplied with a manufacturer's test certificate; LOLER 1998 thorough examinations are required every 12 months by a competent person, and recalibration is recommended annually to maintain stated weighing accuracy. UKAS-traceable calibration can be carried out by Columbus McKinnon or any approved weighing equipment calibration laboratory.
Despite the model names, the TKR 2,0 is the 8 tonne unit and the TKR 3,2 is the 12 tonne unit. The numerical suffix refers to an internal Columbus McKinnon product code, not the capacity. Always confirm the capacity by the kilogram figure on the spec table or product listing.
Yes. The TKR ships complete with the wireless remote control unit, batteries, and a charger for the weigher's internal battery.
The TKR is supplied without lifting attachments. Grade 8 forged shackles or hooks should be specified separately based on your sling and lifting setup.
Yes. The on-unit display is fully functional and provides redundancy if the remote control batteries fail or the remote is lost.
A manufacturer's test certificate is supplied as standard. UKAS-traceable calibration certification is available on request at the time of order.
Annual recalibration is recommended to maintain weighing accuracy. LOLER 1998 also requires a thorough examination by a competent person at least every 12 months.
The TKR is built for site use including outdoor environments but should not be exposed to standing water or continuous heavy rain. Wipe the unit dry after use in wet conditions and store indoors.
