Pfaff-Silberblau HU 25-115 TS SILVERLINE Hand Pallet Truck

SILVERLINE | 2,500 kg Capacity | Tandem Load Rollers | Standard 540 mm Forks | CE Marked

The HU 25-115 TS is the standard-width SILVERLINE pallet truck from Pfaff-Silberblau (Columbus McKinnon Group). It is the truck that British and European hire fleets reach for first — the workhorse model with the right balance of capacity, durability, and price. The 540 mm outside-fork width fits standard UK and Euro pallets, the tandem load roller configuration distributes weight over four contact points instead of two for smoother running and longer roller life, and the 2,500 kg capacity covers virtually every palletised load you will encounter in distribution and construction logistics. Manufactured in Germany to the same SILVERLINE specification used across the Pfaff range, with a hard-chromed hydraulic piston, hardened axles, and powder-coated steel frame engineered for daily commercial use.

CE Marked & EN 1757-2 Compliant

Supplied with an EC Declaration of Conformity under EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Manufactured in compliance with EN 1757-2 (Safety of industrial trucks — pedestrian-controlled pallet trucks) and the harmonised standards DIN EN ISO 12100-1 and DIN EN ISO 12100-2. Type tested under BGV D27.

Key Features

  • 2,500 kg capacity — the standard workhorse load rating that covers nearly every palletised load encountered in distribution, retail, and construction logistics without derating.
  • Tandem load rollers — four load rollers per fork distribute weight over a longer footprint than single-roller models. The result is reduced wear, smoother running over uneven floors, and lower fatigue loading on the chassis — particularly valuable in hire-fleet applications where the truck cycles up to 200 times a day.
  • Hard-chromed hydraulic piston — chrome plating to higher specification than budget pallet trucks. Combined with the pressure relief valve and quality seal kit, the pump is rated for high-cycle commercial use without premature failure.
  • Ergonomic safety control handle — rubber grip with one-handed control of lift, drive, and lower. Steering at 105° each side gives a 1,275 mm turning radius for tight aisles and lorry beds.
  • Robust steel construction — adjustable connecting rods, hardened axles, and powder-coated finish stand up to daily commercial use. The frame is significantly heavier than economy-grade trucks but proportionate to the load it carries.
  • VG/PUR roller combination — solid rubber steering wheels absorb shock at door tracks and floor expansion joints; polyurethane load rollers run quietly on hard floors without marking warehouse epoxy or food-grade flooring.
  • Optional parking brake — available as a factory-fitted upgrade. Specify at point of order to avoid retrofit cost. The FBTP model has a factory-integrated driving and parking brake if both are needed.

Where Is the TS Used?

The TS is the default specification across UK distribution and warehousing operations — the truck specified when no special pallet, environment, or handling condition demands a different model. Manufacturing companies use it on goods-in and goods-out, retailers use it on stockroom replenishment, hire centres use it as the rental workhorse, and contractors use it on site for moving palletised plasterboard, cement, fixings, and tooling stock.

The tandem-roller configuration earns its keep on busy sites where the same truck cycles dozens of times per shift across mixed flooring — warehouse concrete, lorry bed plywood, and the inevitable yard transitions. Lighter single-roller pallet trucks (the ES variant) cost less but show roller wear faster and run noisier under continuous use; the TS is the right specification when the truck will earn its purchase price in throughput.

Recommended Pre-Use Checks

  1. Visually inspect the forks, frame, and connecting rods for damage, cracks, or deformation.
  2. Check both load rollers on each fork tine for free rotation — tandem rollers can mask wear on the inner pair.
  3. Check the steering rollers and confirm the 105° steering travel is unobstructed.
  4. Test the lift and lower functions through full travel before placing a load on the forks.
  5. Confirm the hydraulic system holds pressure — raise the unladen forks fully, leave for 30 seconds, and check for unintended drop.
  6. Inspect the chassis for hydraulic oil leaks around the pump and lift cylinder.
  7. Verify the data plate is legible.

Safety

  • Do not exceed the 2,500 kg safe working load.
  • Do not use to lift personnel under any circumstances.
  • Distribute the load evenly across both forks. An off-centre load can tip the truck.
  • Standard delivery is without a parking brake — do not park on any gradient unless the optional brake is fitted.
  • Move at walking speed only. Pedestrian operation only.
  • Operators should be trained in manual handling.
  • Rated for ambient temperature -10°C to +50°C.
  • Inspect annually under PUWER 1998 and the manufacturer's BGV D27 schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between TS and ES?
Both are 540 mm wide SILVERLINE pallet trucks at 2,500 kg capacity. The TS has tandem load rollers (four rollers per fork) for better load distribution and longer roller life. The ES has single load rollers (two per fork) for slightly lower weight and lower purchase cost. Choose TS for high-cycle commercial use; choose ES for occasional or lighter-duty applications.
Will it handle UK and Euro pallets?
Yes — the 540 mm outside-fork width and 1,150 mm fork length fit the standard board spacings on UK pallets (1,000 × 1,200 mm) and Euro pallets (800 × 1,200 mm) from either short or long side. The 85 mm lowered fork height clears all bottom-boarded and open-base pallets meeting EN 13698.
Should I order with or without the parking brake?
Order with the optional brake if any part of the working route involves a gradient, ramp, tail-lift, or sloped warehouse floor. Order without the brake if the truck will only be used on flat, level surfaces (most warehouse and shop-floor applications). Retrofitting is more expensive than specifying at point of order.
How does it compare to a budget supermarket pallet truck?
The TS is built to a substantially higher specification — hardened axles, hard-chromed piston, powder-coated steel, and German manufacturing tolerances throughout. A budget pallet truck will outwardly look similar but typically fails within 6 to 12 months of daily commercial use through hydraulic seal failure, bent forks, or seized rollers. The TS is the right choice when the truck will be used commercially every day; the budget option is acceptable only for very light occasional use.
Does it require annual inspection?
Yes — as a pedestrian-controlled industrial truck used commercially, it falls under PUWER 1998. A competent person should carry out a thorough examination at least every twelve months.
What spare parts are available?
Full Pfaff-Silberblau spares including steering rollers, tandem load roller sets, hydraulic seal kits, pump assemblies, and handle assemblies are available through WOLFF Onsite.
