No — or rather, only over very short distances at very low speed, and not as part of normal operation. The scissor lift raises the centre of gravity significantly above standard pallet truck height. Travelling with a raised load on uneven floors or around corners can tip the truck, especially with off-centre loads. Standard practice is to lower the load completely before moving more than a few metres.
Q: How long does the foot pump take to raise a load?
For a typical 500 kg load, about 30 to 40 foot pump strokes to full height — roughly 45 to 60 seconds of pumping. Higher loads take more strokes. The pump is designed for periodic use during the working day, not continuous high-cycle work; for high-cycle applications, the electric ES 10B is the correct choice.
