Pfaff-Silberblau HU PROLINE Short-Fork Hand Pallet Truck

PROLINE | 2,500 kg Capacity | 600 mm & 800 mm Short Forks | CE Marked

The Pfaff-Silberblau HU PROLINE short-fork hand pallet truck is built for lifting small pallets and stock containers in confined working spaces where a standard 1,150 mm fork is too long to manoeuvre. Engineered and manufactured in Germany on the heavier PROLINE chassis, it retains the full 2,500 kg capacity and is offered in two versions: a 600 mm single-roller (EP) and an 800 mm tandem-roller (TP).

Key Features

  • Short forks for confined spaces — 600 mm or 800 mm forks for small pallets, half-pallets and stock crates where a full-length truck cannot turn or fit.
  • 2,500 kg capacity — full capacity retained on both versions.
  • Single (EP) and tandem (TP) roller options — the 600 mm uses single load rollers (EP); the 800 mm uses tandem rollers (TP) for better load distribution and longer roller life under high-cycle use.
  • PROLINE-grade chassis and pump — hardened axles, hard-chromed hydraulic piston, pressure-relief valve and powder-coated steel construction.
  • 105° steering each side — combined with the short fork, gives a tight turning radius for confined spaces.
  • Ergonomic safety control handle — rubber grip with one-handed control of lift, drive and lower.

CE Marked & EN 1757-2 Compliant

Supplied with an EC Declaration of Conformity under the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and manufactured in compliance with EN 1757-2 (Safety of industrial trucks — pedestrian-controlled pallet trucks).

Recommended Pre-Use Checks

  1. Visually inspect the forks, frame and connecting rods for damage, cracks or deformation.
  2. Check the load rollers for free rotation and embedded debris.
  3. Check the steering rollers and confirm the 105° steering travel is unobstructed.
  4. Test lift and lower through full travel before placing a load on the forks.
  5. Confirm the hydraulic system holds pressure — raise the unladen forks fully, leave 30 seconds, check for unintended drop.
  6. Inspect the chassis for hydraulic oil leaks around the pump and lift cylinder.
  7. Verify the data plate is legible.

Safety Information

  • Do not exceed the 2,500 kg safe working load.
  • Distribute the load evenly across both forks and seat it against the fork heel, not the tip.
  • Do not use to lift personnel under any circumstances.
  • The short fork improves manoeuvrability but does not change line-of-sight obligations — check for trip hazards and obstructions.
  • Move at walking speed only. Pedestrian operation.
  • Inspect periodically in line with PUWER 1998.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Which version do I need — 600 mm EP or 800 mm TP?

Choose the 600 mm single-roller (EP) for the tightest spaces and the smallest loads; choose the 800 mm tandem-roller (TP) for half-pallets and for higher-cycle commercial use, where tandem rollers give longer life and better load distribution.

Q: Will it handle a standard UK or Euro pallet?

No — a 1,200 mm pallet needs a standard-length fork to capture the full base. The short-fork PROLINE is specifically for sub-1,150 mm loads such as half-pallets and stock crates. For standard pallets, use the SILVERLINE TS or BTS range.

Q: Can I get a different short-fork size?

The PROLINE short-fork range also includes 800 mm single-roller, 900 mm and 1,000 mm tandem versions, available on request — contact us with your requirement.

Q: What is the difference between PROLINE and SILVERLINE?

PROLINE is Pfaff's heavier professional-tier specification — reinforced chassis and a higher-cycle hydraulic system — compared with the lighter standard SILVERLINE range.
