The Raptor Industrial Hydraulic Toe Jack is a heavy duty, dual purpose jack for lifting from very low clearances on the toe or from higher points on the head. Toe capacities are 2 t, 5 t and 10 t, with head capacities of 3 t, 6 t and 14 t respectively.

It is a natural companion to machinery rollers and skates, getting under bases from just 16mm on the TL2. The 5 and 10 tonne models add a swivel pump socket, spring assisted return and over-travel protection. A pump handle is included, and a datasheet is available to download on this page.

Key Features

  • Dual purpose — lift on the toe for low points or on the head for higher points
  • Low minimum toe height — 16mm, 22mm or 28mm depending on model
  • Swivel pump socket — operate from any direction on 5 and 10 tonne models
  • Overload safety valve — protects the jack against overloading
  • Spring assisted return — with over-travel protection on 5 and 10 tonne models
  • Heat-treated steel ram — special steel resists rust and keeps its strength
  • Temperature tolerant — not affected by extreme temperatures

Suitable Applications

Lifting machinery onto skates and rollers, raising plant for packing and levelling, industrial maintenance in factories and power plants, outdoor and cold store work where temperatures vary, and rigging contractors moving heavy equipment.

How to Use

  1. Decide whether to lift on the toe or the head and check the matching capacity
  2. Set the jack on a firm, level surface
  3. Position the toe fully under the load, or the head squarely under the lift point
  4. Fit the pump handle, turning the swivel socket to a clear side on TL5 and TL10
  5. Pump to raise and pack the load as it rises
  6. Open the release slowly to lower the load under control

Safety Information

  • Use the toe rating, not the head rating, when lifting on the toe
  • Make sure the toe is fully engaged and the load cannot slide off
  • Keep hands clear of the toe and load contact area
  • Do not work under a load supported only by the jack
  • Keep the base on a hard surface that will not sink
  • Never lift people with the jack

Inspection and Maintenance

Before each use check for oil leaks, damage to the toe and head, and that the jack holds a load without sinking. Confirm the pump handle fits securely and the swivel socket turns where fitted. Under LOLER 1998 the jack must be thoroughly examined at least every 12 months.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why are the toe and head capacities different?

The head is a stronger lifting point than the toe, so it carries a higher rating. For example, TL10 lifts 10 t on the toe and 14 t on the head.

Q: How low is the toe?

Minimum toe height is 16mm on TL2, 22mm on TL5 and 28mm on TL10.

Q: Does it come with a handle?

Yes, a pump handle is included.

Q: Which models have a swivel pump socket?

The swivel pump socket, spring assisted return and over-travel protection are on the 5 and 10 tonne models.

Q: Can it be used outside in the cold?

The jack is not affected by extreme temperatures, and the ram is heat-treated special steel to resist rust.

Q: What does it weigh?

TL2 weighs 8 kg, TL5 24 kg and TL10 38 kg.
